Abstract

UD. SARI MURNI Bono Boyolangu Tulungagung is one of home industries in making jenang dodol which uses automatic equipments in process of mixing ingredients of jenang dodol. It produces output that is not suitable with expectation and the process of mixing jenang dodol needs time old ones also limited by some limitations such as design of mixing equipments, the design has not been efficient yet because it does not mix ingredients well so it effects to the output products. Based on the statements, the writer develops the title scheme of design. Using engineering assess, the writer tries to develop mixer design of jenang dodol machine to find alternative design better to fulfill requests of existing market (jenang dodol factory consumer). Applying of engineering assess is one of the ways to finish the problems above using step which have been determined or recommended. Phases of performance in value engineering job/activity device consist of 5 steps, they are: 1. Phase Information 2. Creative Phase 3. Phase Analysis 4. Phase Development 5. Phase Implementation Based on the results of analysis and calculations that were done by using study value engineer, there is comparison between early condition and proposal condition because of addition of the design functions and facilities. There is 3 alternative designs, they are from 5 elements of mixing facilities of jenang dodol machine which consist of: strong, capacities, easy to operate, practical, speed of process. As results of analyzing alternative mixer of jenang dodol machine are: o Early alternative is obtained performance = 49,8045 value = 1 o Alternative design of proposal performance = 88,8334 value = 1.5688
