Abstract

The road is one of many examples of land infrastructure that is often used to connect one region to another and its seen as the most efficient road because it still has advantages in accessibility and mobility factors. As time goes by, the the pavement layer will experience a decrease in performance affected by traffic and environmental loads. One of attempt to avoid serious damage to the road is by adding a thick overlay. The purpose of overlay planning is to restore the strength of the overlay so that it can provide optimal road performance to road users. There are several methods used in determining the thickness of the road. In this planning use the 1993 AASHTO Method and the 1987 Component Analysis. The location of the project is located on the Neyama road section, Besuki District, Tulungagung Regency. The data used for this planning is secondary data obtained from the PUPR department of Tulungagung . From the results of the calculations that have been made using the life of the 10-year plan and using the same material on each layer, the AASHTO 1993 method obtained a Laston MS 454 layer with a thickness of 14 cm, and the 1987 component analysis method yields the Laston MS 454 thickness of 10 cm.The Cost Budget Plan obtained from the calculation for the 1993 AASHTO method amounted to IDR 3.624.950.983,07 while the 1987 Component Analysis Method was IDR 2.651.106.275,55
