Abstract

Kol.Robert Atty Bessing Airport is a class III airport located in the city of Malinau Regency, North Kalimantan Province. Kol. Robert Atty Bessing Airport, which continues to improve the quality of flight services for the user community, plans to develop runway facilities from 1,450 meters to 2,088 meters. The extension of the 638 meter. runway is expected so that wide-body aircraft can land at Kol. Robert Atty Bessing airport, whichcurrently can only be accommodated by type 737-500 aircraft. This final project uses the Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA) method and the California Bearing Ratio (CBR) method to determine the required thickness of flexible pavement. The California Bearing Ratio (CBR) method produces a total pavementthickness of 113 cm and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) method produces a total pavement thickness of 64,5 cm. Calculation of Budget Plan (RAB) for the runway pavement work at Colonel Robert Atty Bessing Airport using the FAA method for application in the development of the runway at Robert Atty Bessing Airport is chosen because, besides being more economical, the minimum thickness obtained from the FAA method still ensures and maintains safety and comfort for use. The total cost required for the extension of the runway according to the planned aircraft needs is IDR 52,456,826,976.60,-
