Abstract
A project is an activity that is temporary in nature, that is, the planned start and
finish points are clear. In projects, implementation problems often occur in the
form of delays in implementing the work itself. This is due to the lack of precise,
detailed and efficient management planning, which causes the implementation of
the project schedule to be less effective and the possibility of experiencing delays
in its implementation. Therefore, good project management is needed to analyze
the construction schedule and to improve the quality of project planning. The
PERT method is a planning method using job networks that are connected by
certain considerations. This method, like CPM (Critical Path Method), requires
several parameters, one of which is activity duration. PERT is basically a timeoriented method, in the sense that the PERT method will end by determining time
scheduling, scheduling by considering the duration of activities that are uncertain.
PERT assumes a probability density function of activity duration. With the Project
Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) method, the parameters used are
standard deviation (S) and Variance (V) and then the 3S value so that a time target
is obtained that reaches a 99% percentage of project completion.
