Abstract
Market demand for hotel accommodation in the tourist city of Batu is very high, so researchers conducted research on the Zam-Zam hotel & convention which is located in the heart of Batu City. This research aims to solve one of the problems faced during the planning stage, namely determining the number of each type of room so that the available area can be used optimally and maximum profits will be obtained in future hotel operations. The data analysis method used by researchers to process data from the Zam-Zam Hotel & Convention company is with the forecasting analysis method, linear programming simplex method, and break event point or break even point in rupiah and in units. The analysis tool used is Microsoft Excel solver with results which is more relevant. There are five types of rooms added and are decision variables, namely Standard Room 12 rooms, Superior Room 12 rooms, Deluxe Room 5 rooms, junior suite room 2 rooms and deluxe suite room 2 rooms. In this way, the Zam-Zam Hotel & Convention company gets a maximum daily profit of Rp. 28,464,000.00. The BEP obtained for each room type is different according to the capacity and price for each room type.
