Abstract

The rapid development of information technology demands adaptation and integration across various sectors, including the education sector. At SMK Muhammadiyah 7 Gondanglegi, operational services are still conducted conventionally, such as using paper forms and Microsoft Excel for various administrative activities. This results in inefficiencies in terms of time, paper usage, and operational costs. This research aims to develop a web-based academic information system to enhance the efficiency of services at SMK Muhammadiyah 7 Gondanglegi. The software development process uses the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach, consisting of several stages: problem identification, literature review, needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The system design utilizes the User Centered Design (UCD) method to ensure the interface design meets user requirements. Implementation is carried out using the JavaScript programming language and the ReactJs framework. System testing is conducted using the GTMetrix tool to ensure performance meets expectations. The result of this research is a web-based academic information system that features student data recording and activity management. The use of ReactJs allows for the creation of a complex and easily manageable interface. This system is expected to improve the efficiency of services at SMK Muhammadiyah 7 Gondanglegi by digitizing administrative processes, thereby reducing paper usage and operational costs, as well as accelerating information access and administrative services.
