Abstract

The low ability to listen to fairy tales is because students tend to underestimate learning to listen. Using Android as a learning medium can be an alternative and solution so that students are more active in learning activities which of course affects learning outcomes. The aim of this research is to produce media product designs, describe the suitability of media products and test the effectiveness of media based on the Mamabel application for developing critical listening skills. for seventh grade junior high school students.
The type of research used is Research & Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model proposed by Branch. There are four stages in this research, namely analysis, design, development and implementation. Data collection was carried out by interviews, questionnaires and test sheets. Meanwhile, data analysis uses descriptive and quantitative analysis techniques.
Based on the results of material expert validation calculations it was 85%, while media expert validation calculation results obtained a percentage of 95% and language expert calculation results obtained a percentage of 90%. Apart from that, the teacher's readability test was 95% and the student's readability test was 94%. The results of the effectiveness of the experimental class obtained an average result of 72 and an average post-test score of 88. The results of the pre-test and post-test showed that there was a difference of 16%. Thus, the Mamabel application media is declared feasible and effective.
