UPAYA PERLINDUNGAN TENAGA KERJA INDONESIA DI KOREA SELATAN

This research aims to describe the Indonesian Government's means to protect the rights of Indonesian migrant workers in South Korea, especially for migrant workers under the Government to Government (G to G) scheme. This research uses the concepts of migrant workers and human security, and was written using qualitative descriptive methods. The research results show that several problems that occur to Indonesian Migrant Worker on the G to G scheme in South Korea include death, illness, termination of employment in the middle of the contract period, employment contract fraud, work accidents, and so on. The Indonesian government's response to dealing with things that threaten the personal lives of migrant workers is by improve working conditions for migrant workers and maximize complaint handling facilities through state institutions. These two things were achieved through diplomatic meetings to discuss related matters and signing an MoU for cooperation between the two countries.
