Abstract
This article analyses focus Sudan's interest in opening diplomatic relations with Israel in 2020-2023. The purpose of this research is to find out Sudan's interests that underlying the opening of diplomatic relations with Israel during the transitional government. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data analysis techniques of literature study and the role of social media. This research uses the theory of national interest in answering the formulation of the problem by looking at four indicators, namely economic, security, ideological and world order interests. The results of this study on economic interests, Sudan's economic situation has deteriorated due to civil war and lack of international assistance to encourage Sudan to normalize with Israel so that sanctions imposed by the United States can be removed, so that Sudan can get assistance in the agricultural sector. On the security indicator through this normalization Sudan gets intelligence information and is removed from the list of supporters of terrorism. On ideological indicators Sudan has a common view of democratic ideology with Israel, which makes both of them have similar conceptions related to militant groups and Israel's position in Sudan. The world order indicator relates to Sudan's geopolitical position, supports Israel in the region, and views the United States as the center of the world order. It can be concluded that Sudan's relationship with Israel is rational and relevant to the conditions in Sudan.
