PERAN PEKERJA SOSIAL DI UPT PERLINDUNGAN DAN PELAYANAN SOSIAL ASUHAN ANAK (UPT PPSAA) NGANJUK

This study aims to describe the role of social workers in the Technical Implementation Unit for Child Protection and Social Services (UPT PPSAA) Nganjuk. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by qualitative analysis of interactive models (Miles and Huberman). The results of this study show that the role of social workers in UPT PPSAA Nganjuk is the Role of Enablers, social workers are able to empower individuals, help them overcome obstacles, Role as an Intermediary, social workers connect clients with the school, the main purpose of this action is for the client to be able to return to school, which is an important step in the process of recovery and restoration of their social functioning as children., The role as an educator, social workers provide problem-solving strategies to be able to overcome existing obstacles, the role as a mediator, social workers make intervention plans to determine punishments and handle emotional control in the child, in this case the child will improve his social functioning, Role as an Advocate, social worker fights for children's rights and ensures that their needs are met. suggestions are addressed to the Technical Implementation Unit for Child Protection and Social Services (UPT PPSAA Nganjuk) to control employee performance and cooperate in handling regulations at UPT PPSAA Nganjuk.
