Abstract

Background: CVA (Cerebro Vacular Accident) is one of the main causes of death and neurological disability. CVA is a blood circulation disorder in the brain that causes the death of brain tissue which causes sudden neurological deficits as a result of ischemia or hemorrhage of the brain's nerve circulation. Prevalence of stroke sufferers in East Java (12.4‰). This final scientific work addresses the implementation of Virginia Henderson's Nursing theory in the case of Mrs. P with CVA Infarction in the serly room at RSU Muhammadiyah Malang.
Method: The research in this final scientific work uses a case study report. Researchers followed the principles of the nursing assessment process which was accompanied by an assessment of 14 basic human needs according to Virginia Henderson.
Results: Researchers found several nursing problems after being given nursing care for 3 days. The author raised 4 nursing diagnoses: Impaired physical mobility, ineffective breathing patterns, disturbed sleep patterns, spiritual distress.
Discussion: The nursing diagnoses obtained in ADHF patients are in accordance with the assessment of Virginia Henderson's 14 basic needs. The researcher implemented needs theory. Implementation of the basic nursing theory approach also requires recommendations that can be implemented in hospital and community environments, including interventions to provide diets that are appropriate to CVA Infarction conditions.
