Abstract

Problem: This research was conducted to overcome the challenge of children's boredom towards learning English by developing new learning methods and design solutions for interesting, interactive and fun English learning applications, which are focused on user needs and experiences. Method: In this context, the research applies the UX Journey method and data collection through a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis (mix method), to gain in-depth insight into users' specific experiences and needs, thereby producing design solutions that suit user preferences. Results: The result is a feature design for English learning methods through quizzes, scan a picture, and videos that apply visual and multimedia elements in them. Conclusion: This application shows a significant level of user satisfaction, indicating that the application has succeeded in meeting user expectations and has met standards. It is hoped that this research can prove that the features implemented have the potential to become useful and effective tools for increasing children's ability to absorb information when learning English, as well as providing a fun learning experience.
