Abstract
Introduction: Thought process disorders: delusions are one of the positive symptoms of schizophrenia and generally sufferers of these symptoms do things that are in accordance with the type of delusion, namely having a high sense of suspicion towards themselves and others.
Method: This research is a case study structured through a series of nursing care taking cases of patients with thought process disorders: delusions of suspicion who are being treated in hospital. Data collection method by taking cases through identification, interpreting and analyzing diagnoses, interventions and evaluations during treatment. Data collection techniques were carried out using various techniques, including: interviews with patients, observation and documentation.
Results and Discussion: Based on data analysis, the main nursing problem was obtained, namely thought process disorders: delusions of suspicion, where the patient had problems with the flow of thought, thought content, thought form and emotional affect. After the patient is given nursing intervention SP 1 – SP 4 thought process disorders: delusions where there is a change in the flow of thought, content of thought, form of patient's emotional affect.
Conclusions and Suggestions: After 4 days of intervention for the nursing problem of thought process disorders: delusions of suspicion, the results of the actions given show that SP 1-4 can support recovery in patients with thought process disorders: delusions of suspicion. However, it is still necessary to provide family support so that the family is involved in the patient care process.
