Perencanaan Komunikasi Untuk Mensosialisasikan Program Pencegahan Stunting (Studi Pada Dinas Kesehatan Kota Malang)

Stunting causes children to fail to grow so that children are too short for their age due to the lack of nutritional intake of pregnant women until the baby is born, stunting will have an impact on children's brain growth, reduce the quality of productivity and will have an impact on poor health. The Ministry of Health calls for each region to reduce the prevalence of stunting. Stunting cases in the city of Malang in 2023 are at 18% where this figure is still high, so it is necessary for the health department of the city of Malang to carry out communication planning containing health messages to the community to socialize stunting prevention programs. The purpose of this research is to find out the communication planning carried out by the health department of the city of Malang in socializing the stunting prevention program. The reference theory in this research is Charles Berger's planning theory. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative data. Data were collected through direct interviews and documentation. The data analysis used is the Miles and Huberman interactive model. In this study there were 4 (four) informants, 2 (two) key informants from the health department of the city of Malang in the field of health promotion and the field of family health and nutrition, and 2 (two) additional informants from the community. The results showed that the communication planning carried out by the health department of the city of Malang carried out several planning stages starting from determining the target audience in advance to determine what program socialization would be carried out, the implementation of communication planning containing health messages to prevent stunting through socialization involving cross-sectors, such as puskesmas, posyandu, and various other parties to provide socialization and health education to the community. Determining the content of socialization messages to increase public knowledge about stunting, using a variety of digital and print media (Social media, TV, Radio, leaflets, banners, roll banners, and stickers) to support the implementation of socialization. Evaluation is also carried out at the final stage after all the processes of communication socialization activities containing health messages are carried out. This communication planning process starts from knowing the audience to determine the target audience, preparing the message content and selecting the media.
