Abstract
Low K levels and C levels in the soil result in plants being less fertile or infertile. This research was to determine the effect of a mixture of laying hen and dairy cow manure on the levels of Potassium (K) and C-Organic (C) in compost and determine the ratio of manure from laying hens and dairy cows which can increase levels of Potassium (K) and C-Organic (C ) in compost. Method: This research used an experimental method, meanwhile, the research design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) and was repeated 3 times. The treatments are as follows: Treatment 1 (P1): 60% laying chicken manure: 40% dairy cow manure, Treatment 2 (P2): 50% laying chicken manure: 50% dairy cow manure, and Treatment 3 (P3): 40% laying chicken manure is 60% dairy cow manure. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (Anava) and followed by a 5% BNT test. Results: Research shows that the treatment given has a real influence on K levels in compost, but for C levels the treatment given does not have a real influence. The K content obtained from this research is 0.272% and the C obtained from this research is 29.93% in compost which has a value according to SNI-7763-2018, namely the minimum K value contained in compost is 0.2% and the minimum C value contained in compost is 15%.
