Abstract
Cartoon animation series are well made because they include children's means of learning and also in cartoon animation series not only contain a happy plot but also have elements of action and bullying. In this case, parents have important actions and roles, researchers want to understand in detail how parents' viewpoints and acceptance of bullying elements. The paradigm that will be used in this study is the constructivist paradigm and uses a qualitative type using the reception analysis method approach, the narrative of the results of the FGD (Focus Group Discussion) and in-depth interviews will be examined first and categorized using the analysis of the Miles and Huberman filling system as the data analysis technique. The subjects that will be used in this study are parents who know about Naruto animation shows and this research was conducted in Malang. The selection of subjects used the purposive sampling technique. From these results, the researcher grouped based on the position of the concept of encoding-decoding by Stuart Hall (1992) in the Reception Analysis, namely the dominant position, negotiation, and opposition, so this reception is in accordance with the social background of the informant. In conclusion, some parents agree that there is an act of bullying in the Naruto Shippuden Anime series that will affect children's characters in the future. This series is able to provide the meaning of bullying elements for informants who know the series based on the assessment and understanding of each informant.
