Abstract
This research aims to explore the social criticism messages conveyed in the lyrics of the song "Gelegak Darah Muda" by Daun Jatuh and Souljah. The song's lyrics focus on criticizing the behavior of young people. The study utilizes a content analysis method with a descriptive quantitative approach. The data source consists of the lyrics of "Gelegak Darah Muda" by Daun Jatuh and Souljah. Data collection techniques involve observing the research object, dissecting it, and interpreting the social criticism embedded in the lyrics of the song. The findings reveal that out of 77 sentences analyzed, 74 sentences, which constitute 96% of the total sentences in the song, contain social criticism. The conclusions drawn from this research indicate social critiques such as extravagant lifestyles, unstable legal systems, arbitrary societal behavior, lack of knowledge, insufficient religious education, and the detrimental impact of technological advancements on societal values.
