ABSTRACT

Evaluation of the Type and Amount of Grass Feeding on People's Sheep Farms in Dau District, Malang Regency

This study aims to identify the types and feeding of sheep in community livestock businesses in the Dau sub-district area of Malang Regency in 2023. Farmer respondents as a sample of the study were taken from two villages in the Dau sub-district area which were selected based on data from the sub-district that has the highest sheep population. The research method was survey and observation conducted on selected farmers as many as 15 farmer families in each village. A total of 30 sheep farmers to become selected respondents were observed to obtain data on types and provision of concentrates to support sheep productivity. The data obtained were analyzed in a quantitative descriptive manner. The results of the study showed that the use of field grass in Mulyoagung village was more widely used than Gadingkulon village. Feeding per head per day Mulyoagung village is larger than Gadingkulon village. The conclusion for use in Mulyoagung and Gadingkulon villages has differences.
