Abstract

The Pancasila learner profile strengthening project is a component of the independent curriculum that can be implemented through extracurricular and intracurricular programs in schools that focus on helping students develop character in accordance with the achievements of the Pancasila learner profile in everyday life. Based on the results of initial interviews, it show that SD Muhammadiyah 08 Dau is one of the elementary schools that implements the Pancasila Learner Profile Strengthening Project (P5) as an extracurricular activity in an effort to divert excessive gadget games in students. In the even semester of the 2023/2024 school year, the theme of the project implemented was Unity in Diversity through Traditional Games. This study aims to determine: (1) the implementation of the project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students (P5) in the formation of the character of grade IV students of SD Muhammadiyah 08 Dau and (2) the achievement of character in accordance with the dimensions of the Pancasila student profile in the implementation of P5.
This research uses a descript qualitative research approach and type. This research was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah 08 Dau which focused on grade IV students. In its implementation, researchers conducted observation, interviews, documentation, and field notes to obtain data. The data sources include the Principal, Class IV Teacher, and Class IV Students. Analysis of research data through four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity checking uses two techniques, namely source triangulation and technique triangulation.
The results showed that in preparation for the implementation of the project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students at SD Muhammadiyah 08 Dau through several stages, namely the preparation meeting for the implementation of P5 in determining the theme, project, and time allocation for the implementation of P5 which is adjusted to the conditions of the school and the condition of the students. the project implementation stage which one includes several stages, namely the introduction stage, implementation stage, and evaluation of traditional games, namely rangku alu, jumping rope, engklek, bentengan, dakon, and at the end of the semester there is a P5 Work Title activity. The evaluation stage is through a daily observation process whose results are conveyed in the P5 report card. The characters achieved in the implementation of P5 in class IV of SD Muhammadiyah 08 Dau all describe the 6 dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile, namely, Faithful, Devoted to God Almighty, Global Diversity, Independent, Creative, Mutual Cooperation, and Critical Reasoning.
