Abstract
In the era of rapid technological development, new media (new media) appears to provide alternative information and entertainment to the public to meet their needs, for example, such as Korean dramas which are currently loved by Indonesians and the whole world. Shooting Stars is one of the Korean drama titles that tells stories about the Public Relations profession in agency companies. This made the researcher take the title The Effect of Exposure to Korean Drama “Shooting Stars” on Students' Decisions to Become Public Relations Professions.
Uses and Effect theory is used in this study. The research method used is a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used total sampling technique, then analyzed using simple linear regression analysis and F test.
The results showed that there was an effect of exposure to the Korean drama “Shooting Stars” on students' decisions to become public relations professions as evidenced by the F test. The F test results show that the F value is 21,401 with a significance level of 0.05 is 4,300. Because the calculated F value is greater than the F table value (21.401> 4.300) at a significance level of 0.05, it can be concluded that there is an influence of exposure to Korean drama “Shooting Stars” on students' decisions to become public relations professionals.
