PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA SOSIAL TERHADAP INTENSITAS KOMUNIKASI INTERPERSONAL MELALUI PERILAKU ALONE TOGETHER (Studi Mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi Angkatan 2020 Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang)

In this digital era, social media has become an inseparable part of people's lives, including students. Excessive use of Social Media can have a negative impact on interpersonal relationships, one of which is through Alone Together Behavior. This study aims to analyze the effect of Social Media Use on Interpersonal Communication Intensity with Alone Together Behavior as an intervening variable in Communication Science students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang Class of 2020. This research uses quantitative methods with a survey design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 86 students. The data analysis technique used is Path Analysis. The results showed that Alone Together Behavior mediates the effect of Social Media Use on Interpersonal Communication Intensity. This is evidenced by the Indirect Effect value which is greater than the Direct Effect value (0.085> 0.030).
