Abstract

Health facilities are built and developed to increase the ability of everyone to control and improve their health and make hospitals a healthy workplace. However, it is also a place that is prone to nosocomial infection transmission caused by the presence of pathogenic microbes. Ways to minimize pathogenic microbes can perform sterilization using ultraviolet (UV) lamps. However, ultraviolet sterilizers that are commonly used in hospitals are only placed in the middle of the room and stay in place. So that the farther the distance between the object to be sterilized and the ultraviolet light source, the smaller the light intensity. As a result, pathogenic microbes that are far from UV lamps are not perfectly exposed to light. So it is necessary to make an ultraviolet sterilizer by combining a robotic system in the form of a line follower to be able to evenly distribute ultraviolet irradiation to all objects that cannot be reached if the lamp is only placed in the middle of the room. This study also ensures that the robot continues to walk on a predetermined path and adds a battery so that the robot is not disturbed by the power source cable when on the path. The results of this test were obtained for experiments at time settings of 1, 2, and 3 minutes with a percentage error of 2.333% - 1%. And the accuracy of On-Off control is 100%, and the accuracy of the sensor on the path line works well without error.
