Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the high divorce rate in Indonesia which has given rise to many cases of JUS or “Janda Usia Dini”, which means that divorce is dominated by early married couple. So this phenomenon is not in line with what happened in Blitar Regency as the research location, namely an area with a higher number of early marriage registration than divorce cases. This research uses a qualitative approach. With the case study type, research is able to dig up information as deep and detailed as possible.
The results of the research show that relationship maintenance in couples who marry early is implemented by creating a positive atmosphere in daily life, being open to each other’s feelings, having a mutual commitment, dividing household task according to needs and roles, accepting positive social involvement, being able to provide mutual understanding, dare to evaluate each other’s relationship and trust of partner’s decisions.
