PENGARUH UMUR PARENT STOCK TERHADAP HEN DAY PRODUCTION DAN PERSENTASE HATCHING EGG DI PT. SAPTA KARYA MEGAH

The poultry industry in Indonesia is continuously increasing its production results both in quality and quantity. One effort to improve poultry farming products starts from improving the quality of parent stock as the final stock producer. Breeding chickens or parent stock are the chickens that produce the final stock, whose sexual maturity will affect the quality of the eggs. The age of the parent stock greatly influences egg production and egg quality. For this reason, research needs to be carried out. This research was carried out at PT. Sapta Karya Megah Hatchery unit located in Pucangro Village, Gudo District, Jombang Regency, East Java. The research was carried out for one month starting from September 26 to October 25 2023. The method used in this research was observation, by observing and recording hatching eggs (HE) aged 52 and 62 weeks in the Isa Brown parent stock strain. Data analysis used the Independent sample T-Test. The results showed that the results of Hen day production from Isa Brown strain parent stock chickens aged 52 and 62 weeks were not significantly different (P>0.05), at 52 weeks of age the average was 89.89% and at 62 weeks of age the average was 87.24%, and percentage hatching egg, was not significant/significant (P>0.05), namely at 52 weeks of age the average was 52.329 eggs and at 62 weeks the average was 49.922 eggs.
