Abstract

This research aims to determine the implementation of management of Brakseng Area tourist attractions and the impact of management based on environmental sustainability as stated in Minister of Tourism Regulation No. 9 of 2021 which emphasizes the need for tourism development that takes into account the principle of desire, by prioritizing the preservation of nature, the environment and resources. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, which is able to provide an overview of the management of the Brakseng tourist attraction in accordance with environmental sustainability. The theory used by George R. Terry consists of planning, organizing, implementing and controlling. The research results show that there are still obstacles at the planning stage, where the management is still trying to stabilize the number of tourists, and is looking for solutions to carry out development on land in the Brakseng area. At the organizing stage it looks like it has been maximized because the management, along with the Village Government, and Bumdes apply Murphy's theory which also actively involves the community and these parties continue to try to allow each other. At the implementation stage, it is optimal because it can improve the economy of both the management and the surrounding community. Meanwhile, the control still requires some improvements and the management is willing to accept input from the public and visitors for the development of tourist attractions, including improving facilities and infrastructure. There is also a need for harmony with the environment at tourist attractions. There are two impacts caused by this tourism, including the severity of erosion and the amount of waste produced. Behind the impacts that occur, both the management and the community are trying to reduce these impacts, such as by managing waste, increasing the planting of biodiversity.
