Studi Komunikasi Sosial antara Pusdik Arhanud dan Warga Desa Pendem

Pusdik Arhanud is an educational institution as well as a military institution that stands in the Pendem Village area. As an Army military institution, Pusdik Arhanud has a goal to achieve which is to realize the unity of the Indonesian National Armed Force-people, which to achieve this goal, Pusdik Arhanud has a Territorial Development program, which is used to empower the community and foster a positive and long-lasting relationship with the community. This research uses a qualitative research approach with descriptive research type. In addition, this research also uses data collection techniques with interviews and documentation. Interviews were conducted with several members who are members of Pusdik Arhanud, as well as several residents of Pendem Village, in order to find out the interactions and communication that existed between the two parties. This research also uses Jerold's theoretical basis related to the characteristics of community relations. The results of this study show that the Territorial Development carried out by Pusdik Arhanud, succeeded in fostering community awareness regarding their position and presence as a military institution, so it can be said that the relationship between Pusdik Arhanud and Pendem Village is considered a good relationship, showing the effectiveness of social communication efforts carried out by Pusdik Arhanud in building positive relationships with local communities formally, because based on the community’s perspective, the interactions carried out by Pusdik Arhanud are still limited.
