Proses Adaptasi Komunikasi antara Suami dan Istri Pada Rumah Tangga Beda Budaya (Studi Pada Pasangan Beda Budaya di Kabupaten Tulungagung)

This research is based on the background related to inter-ethnic marriages conducted by couples with different cultural backgrounds. The existence of different cultural backgrounds often results in differences in interpreting and understanding messages in the form of information or messages conveyed, this can lead to misperceptions. This research was conducted in Tulungagumg Regency. The core problem in this study is how the communication adaptation process between couples of different cultures.
This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The data collection technique used is by conducting interviews involving 4 couples with different cultures who have been married for at least 5 years. The data sources in this study are data obtained directly from the object of research, namely intercultural marriage couples in Tulungagungs Regency as primary data and by looking for references to books, journals as secondary data. The collected data is analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, then drawing conclusions.
Based on the results of the study, it shows that the communication adaptation process between couples of different cultures in Tulungagung Regency runs well and effectively. Couples do not experience difficulties in adapting and can find their own ways for them to understand each other.
