Abstract
Wind power plants are renewable plants that depend on the kinetic energy of the
wind which is converted into electrical energy by wind turbines. The highly
fluctuating characteristics of wind are one of the problems with wind turbines for
optimizing electrical power conversion, which results in unstable torque output,
thus affecting power output as well. Therefore, it is necessary to control the blade
pitch in the wind turbine to optimize the power conversion produced by the wind
turbine. This research uses a servo motor controlled by proportional integral
derivative (PID) using the Genetic Algorithm method. This control uses input wind
speed (m/s) and angle. With an angle value that has been adjusted to the specified
wind speed. The PLTB system that uses the GA tuning PID controller gets slightly
better output by reducing excess power to 389.3 watts at time T=1. And if you use
PID Tuning GA control with an angle graph that tries to follow the motion of the
input it still doesn't reduce the power spike at time T=1 of 657.3 watts. Meanwhile,
the system without control still does not respond to the power surge which is worth
