Abstract
The phenomenon of social media that provides news or information has recently increased. Instagram is a social media platform used to provide information, one of which is the Instagram account @ussfeeds. With the advantages of Instagram's appeal, message packaging becomes more attractive. This research wants to know how to package social media content as information media on the Instagram account @ussfeeds using Pierre Levy's New Media Theory model.
This research uses the concept of the four pillars of social media strategy proposed by Lon Safko and David K. to analyze ussfeeds content as an information medium on Instagram social media. In this concept, there are 6 Made to Stick concepts in packaging content that are easy to remember and understand, namely simple, unexpected, concrete, credible, emotions, and stories.
Researchers used a qualitative approach with descriptive research type and basic content analysis research. The data collection technique for this research is documentation via screenshots on the Instagram account @ussfeeds within 7 days, which consists of 60 pieces of content categorized according to the type of content and content packaging format.
The research results show that the @ussfeeds account utilizes Instagram social media as a medium for pop culture information, and is always up-to-date and relatable. The content owned by @ussfeeds applies the 6 main Made to Stick concepts in packaging ussfeeds content. The packaging of messages on social media is by the New Media theory, that media portals currently no longer only exist in print and web media, but have penetrated social media platforms.
