Abstract

After conducting observations and interviews with 4th grade teachers at SD Negeri TulungRejo 04 Batu when teachers teach IPAS subjects, students still rely on LKS books provided by the school which causes students to lack interest in reading science and also shows that educators have not utilized learning media that can enrich students' understanding of natural resource material. As a result, students tend to have difficulty in understanding the material, and feel abstract related to the concept of natural resources. Based on this, researchers developed Pop Nature ScrapBook media to be able to support the success of the learning process and make learning more fun and interesting. The purpose of this research is to produce a Pop Nature ScrapBook Media product in grade IV IPAS learning subjects in elementary schools.
The type of research used is the ADDIE model which consists of five stages, namely, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques are using observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses qualitative descriptive data and quantitative data analysis.
The results of the development of Pop Nature ScrapBook Media on Natural Resources material show the percentage of assessments determined by material experts of 91%, media validation gets a percentage of 86%, with a level of "Worth using in learning". While the response from teachers to Pop Nature ScrapBook Media gets a percentage of 77% and the response from students gets 97%. Based on the results obtained, it shows that the development of Pop Nature ScrapBook Media is feasible to use to support the learning process activities for fourth grade elementary school students. Pop Nature ScrapBook Media is able to provide an interesting effect, because each page opened will reveal a picture that appears and the material contained in Pop Nature ScrapBook can be adjusted to the teaching material to be delivered. But in this study, of course, there are still shortcomings so that innovation and creativity are needed from further researchers.
