The research results show that in general the role of the principal's leadership style in creating culture and teacher performance at SMPN 1 Udanawu is considered quite good. The role of the school principal should be to be a supervisor, leader, manager, administrator. However, in reality, it is not fulfilled due to the limitations of the school. Apart from the limitations that the school has, the limited role of the principal's leadership style at SMPN 1 Udanawu also makes employees uncomfortable because a leader's enthusiasm can potentially intimidate teachers and especially rules regarding unnecessary things.
