Abstract

Maximum Power Point Unit Tracker (MPPT) is method for finding the optimal power point that can be generated by a photovoltaic. MPPT works by integrating with tracking algorithm such as Perturb and Observe (P&O). DC-DC Buck-Converter used to step down the voltage because the load voltage is lower than ouput voltage photovoltaic. P&O algorithm can optimize the maximum power point of the photovoltaic. Experiments showcase the power generated from photovoltaic can reach 9.65W under irradiation conditions of 1000W/m2. This implementation of this system successfully improves the overall system efficiency and can be applicated for real project experiment.
