Abstract
Background: Close proximity of pregnancies increases the risk of neonatal, perinatal and newborn mortality and morbidity, such as low birth weight (LBW), intrauterine pregnancy, growth retardation and preterm birth. This close proximity may increase the risk of maternal morbidity and mortality. Objective: To determine the efforts to regulate the distance of the next pregnancy in postpartum women P1001 Ab000 post sectio caesarea day 40 in village X in 2023. Research Methods: The research has used a qualitative design with a case study approach, using purposive sampling in selecting participants, while data collection uses a structured interview method with triangulation of data sources as a validity test and using domain analysis in analyzing data. Research Results: This study has 3 themes, namely: pregnancy planning with a 5-year gap, exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months and coitus interuptus. Discussion: Spacing pregnancies is important in family planning programs, as it can affect the condition of both the child and the mother.
