Abstract

This research discusses the relationship between compensation fairness and work engagement through job satisfaction. Compensation fairness is defined as a compensation system that ensures employees receive rewards that are fair and commensurate with their contributions. Job satisfaction is considered as a mediating variable that influences work engagement. The research results show that compensation fairness has a positive effect on job satisfaction, which then has a positive effect on work engagement. Path analysis also shows that compensation fairness has an indirect influence on work engagement through jobsatisfaction. These results have practical implications that companies must ensure compensation fairness and increase job satisfaction to increase employee work engagement.
