Abstract

The Auditorium Building of Brawijaya University is a structure used for academic and cultural activities on campus. Proper foundation planning is crucial to guarantee the building's stability and safety. The foundation serves as a support and bearer of the loads from the upper structure of the building, as well as transferring these loads to the supporting soil layers. Field and laboratory testing
results for the construction project of the Auditorium Building at Brawijaya University in Malang show that soil with a depth of more than 20 meters is predominantly composed of sand and gravel. The determination of this foundation's bearing capacity and settlement is derived from Standard Penetration Test (SPT) data. The analysis results from the Etabs program indicate that the maximum load occurs at the PU reaction of 6898.04 kN, with the highest bearing capacity achieved in the planning of the pile foundation (spun pile) with a depth of 20 meters and a foundation diameter of 0.5 meter.
