Abstract
This research aims to explain the implementation of concepts and approaches within the scope of international relations studies. This is related to the factors increasing Islamophobia in France after the Paris Attacks as well as Islamic issues on the global stage. This type of qualitative research uses descriptive methods that focus on events that have passed and are reconstructed using data sources such as journals, newspapers, historical records, and verbal reports. The results of this research show that there are factors that increased Islamophobia after the Paris Attack, including internal factors related to strengthening the social identity of French Muslims who experience discriminatory attitudes and then external influence factors related to the 9/11 incident which makes French society increasingly convinced that Islam is a terrorist group. After the terror, France increasingly showed hatred towards Islam (Islamophobia), giving rise to attitudes of discrimination. The Islamophobia issue is based on at least three things; Firstly, Islam has been considered an inseparable part of French society and is in contrast to secular France. Second, Islam is considered the most scary and radical religion. Third, the Paris Attack tragedy caused Islam to be labeled as a terrorist actor.
