An estimated 1.13 billion people worldwide suffer from hypertension, most of whom (two-thirds) are low- and middle-income. In 2015, 1 in 4 men and 1 in 5 woman had hypertension. Objective: To determine dietary compliance and physical activity in hypertensive patients. Methods: This study used a qualitative approach and case study. Data collection methods using observation interviews and documentation involving three participants, namely the wife as participant 1 who is a hypertensive patient herself, participant 2 is the husband of a hypertensive patient, and participant 3 is the child of the married couple. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, conclusions and verification. Results: This study found 3 themes: 1) Non- compliance with maintaining a diet 2) Stressor can trigger increased blood pressure 3) moderate physical activity. Discussion: efforts made to overcome hypertension are by routinely doing physical activity, adhering to a hypertension diet and reducing stress because these patients suffer from hypertension.
