Abstract

One group of people who use plants as herbal medicine for rapet juice are the people of Guluk-Guluk District. The driving factor for the use of plants is the abundance of natural resource diversity. However, rapet essence herbal medicine is not a priority herbal medicine that people consume every day. Apart from that, the development of technology has also resulted in the fading of public knowledge about rapet sari herbal medicine. The aim of this research is to obtain information regarding the use of plants used in making rapet cider herbal medicine which includes: plant types, use of rapet cider herbal medicine, processing methods and public knowledge about rapet cider herbal medicine. The implementation of this research was carried out in stages, namely: survey of the research location, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The results of the research showed that Jamu sari rapet consists of various types of plants such as betel leaves, landep leaves, weed roots, areca nut, clove flowers, ginger, and Pepet keys, have an important role in the health culture of the local community. People use this herbal medicine forwomen's reproductive health, such as tightening the muscles of the uterus after giving birth. In addition, this research identified that traditional knowledge about medicinal plants has educational value that can be integrated into the biology curriculum in schools.
