The results of this research reveal that SMA Negeri 1 Batu students have a high level of thinking regarding their belief in language intelligence. This can be seen from the average student score which shows a value of 4,10. This value is classified as very high, which shows that SMA Negeri 1 Batu students have intelligence that can be developed and improved through learning efforts. Furthermore, external motivation is the highest driver that influences Indonesian language learning for SMA Negeri 1 Batu students. This can be proven by the average student score of 4,09. This means that encouragement from the external environment, such as family, teachers, peers, is the main factor that motivates students to improve their learning. Then the correlation between language mindset and motivation to learn Indonesian shows that there is a moderate relationship between the two variables. The correlation result of 0,435 shows that students' confidence in their abilities in the language will have an impact on their motivation to learn Indonesian. It can be concluded that Neheri 1 Batu High School students have a high language mindset regarding their belief in language intelligence. In addition to external factors in learning motivation, they are strong enough driving factors to support students' success in learning Indonesian.
