Abstract
This study aims to describe and explain stunting prevention efforts based on social capital. This study used descriptive qualitative research methods, the location of the study was in Dadaprejo Village, Junrejo District, Batu City, subjects were determined by purposive techniques. Data analysis techniques are: (data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions), then the data has been tested as test data. The results of the study that there are several programs and policies that have been implemented for stunting prevention efforts, namely: socialization related to stunting targeting the entire community, supplementary feeding (PMT) targeting baduta and pregnant women, stunting nutrition poz (Pozting) targeting toddlers indicated stunting, behavior change actions to prevent stunting targeting adolescents; pregnant women; nursing mothers; Parents, caregivers, assistance and monitoring targeting pregnant women, toddlers indicated as stunting, and brides-to-be. The level of community participation in stunting prevention activities shows a high level of trust and involvement. Social capital, which includes mutual trust, networks, and norms, plays an important role in stunting prevention efforts. High trust between communities and service providers strengthens solid social networks, reciprocal norms create positive social pressure for communities to actively participate in stunting prevention efforts. In addition, collective action involving collaboration with education personnel will increase the effectiveness of campaigns in stunting prevention efforts.
