Abstract

Background : Diabetes Melitus is a long-term condition that occurs when the body cannot use the insulin produced by the pancreas or when the pancreas does not produce sufficient amounts of insulin. There are several types of Diabetes Melitus, namely Diabetes Melitus Type 1, Diabetes Melitus Type 2, Diabetes Melitus Gestasional, and Other Spesific Diabetes. The most common type Of Diabetes Melitus is Diabetes Melitus Type 2. Diabetes Melitus Type 2 is caused by an unhealthy lifestyle and lack of physical activity. Physical activity is activity produced by muscles and requires energy expenditure. The need for physical activity or movement of the muscles of the human body is a unit that is iinterconnected and influences each other. Doing physical activity helps the absorption of glucose without the need for insulin. Objective : To determine the description of physical activity in people with Diabetes Melitus Type 2. Method : This research uses a qualitative research design with a case study reseach strategi. The type of interview carried out was a semi-structured interview involving 3 Diabetes Melitus Type 2 participants, Mr. A as participant 1, Mrs. U as participant 2, Mrs. N as participant 3. The data obtained will then be subjected to domain analysis. Discussion : A description of pysical activity in Diabetes Melitus sufferers, namely light physical activity such as cleaning the house and walking, moderate physical activity by working, and heavy activity by going to the gym.
