Abstract
Situation comedy shows have become one of the most popular forms of entertainment on Indonesian television. In this context, political satire has become a significant element in delivering social and political criticism in a humorous and entertaining manner. This research aims to analyze the use of political satire in the TV program “Lapor Pak” on Trans7 with a semiotic approach. Through semiotic analysis, this study identifies the signs of comedy satire used in the program and analyzes the meaning contained in them. This research also explores how the meaning of political satire in “Lapor Pak” voices criticism of social and political issues in Indonesia. The research method used is content analysis, focusing on observing the comedy satire segments in the program. The results show that “Lapor Pak” uses a variety of satirical comedy signs, including dialog, characters, and situations that contain satire and criticism of various social and political issues. The findings provide deep insight into how satire is used in mass media to voice criticism and stimulate critical thinking in society.
