Abstract

The problem of listening skills at SDN 02 Girimoyo Malang, especially in class 3A, listening skills still have not achieved learning objectives, students also still have difficulty because they lack focus in learning. The purpose of this study is to find out what are the problems of listening skills in Indonesian language learning, describe the factors that cause problems in listening skills in Indonesian language learning, then find out effective solutions to overcome the problems of listening skills in Indonesian language learning for class 3A students.

The method used in this research is to use qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The data analysis technique used has 2 stages, namely data reduction and data triangulation. While in data collection there are 3 techniques used, namely interviews, observation, and documentation. This research was conducted at SDN 02 Girimoyo Malang. The data sources in this study are the principal, class 3A teacher as interview information.

The results of this study are the skills of listening to stories in Indonesian language learning are still not optimal, but the teacher utilizes the story books provided to support students' reading interest so that learning in the classroom hopes to be maximized and has implemented activities to implement 10 minutes before learning begins first reading.
