Abstract

Legal issues regarding consumer protection regarding topping up E-Toll balances via E-Money. This problem is very often encountered among the public. Many people complain about the problems they experience. The company has violated the provisions of applicable laws, one of which is the Consumer Protection Law. The aim of this research is to find out what kind of responsibility consumers receive regarding the problem of balances that have been topped up but the balance has not yet been credited to the card. e-toll. This research uses empirical research methods, with an approach regarding the events that occurred. Primary data obtained through interviews/respondents with people who have experienced similar incidents. And the legal materials used are journals and legislation. The results of research from interviews that have been carried out are that there is a legal relationship between consumers and e-money Top-Up service providers. And there is accountability that consumers have accepted from e-money Top-Up service providers, but there are also e-money Top-Up service providers who are in default.
