Abstract

The use of media in the learning process certainly helps the acceptance of student material. Information was obtained that students experienced difficulties when learning Indonesian double-meaning word material due to the absence of supporting media and student material was also only in the form of LKS. So it is necessary to develop media that can help teachers explain the material to students. Students like to read comics, therefore researchers integrate comics in learning in the form of media. So this study aims to develop TANADA digital comic media (double meaning words) in subjects Indonesian grade 4 elementary school.
The type of research conducted is development research using the ADDIE model which has 5 systematic stages, namely analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of the study were 29 grade 4 students of SDN Junrejo 02 Batu. The study was conducted in the 2023/2024 school year, precisely in March 2024. The type of data obtained is qualitative data and quantitative data with primary and secondary data sources. The techniques used for data collection are observation, interviews, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. Data analysis used in the form of qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis.
The results of research and development on TANADA digital comic media are valid, evidenced by the results of material validation of 96.42% and media validation of 87.5%. There was an average student response questionnaire of 97.78%, a class teacher response questionnaire of 100% and from the test results showed good scores so that it can be concluded that the media that has been developed is suitable for use. TANADA digital comic media can be used in supporting learning Indonesian double-meaning word material in grade 4 elementary school and can be updated and developed on other materials more interesting and innovative.
