PENGGUNAAN TANAMAN LEGUMINOSA SEBAGAI PAKAN KAMBING PADA USAHA PETERNAKAN RAKYAT DI KECAMATAN DAU KABUPATEN MALANG

This research aims to identify the use of legumes in goats in people's livestock businesses in the Dau District, Malang Regency in 2023. Research respondents were selected from 2 villages with the largest goat populations in Dau District based on data obtained from the sub-district. The selection of respondents was based on the population of 5 goats and above. The research method used was a survey, the survey was conducted on 15 selected respondents from each village. The data collected included the number of goat owners, socio-economic conditions and obstacles during the maintenance period by means of interviews based on a prepared questionnaire. Data on the need for legumes, provision of legumes, goat production and locations for obtaining legumes were obtained through observation. The data obtained was tabulated into a table according to the variables measured, then quantitative descriptive analysis was carried out. The results of the research showed that more respondents used legumes as feed for their goats from Gading Kulon village than respondents from Mulyo Agung village. The most widely used legume in the two villages is gamal, because gamal is a legume plant that is easily found in both villages. The conclusion regarding the use of legumes as goat feed in Mulyo Agung village and Gading Kulon village is that there are differences in the number of respondents who use legumes as goat feed and gamal is the most widely used type of legume.
