Pengaruh Interaksi Tayangan Podcast di Media Youtube Terhadap Tingkat Partisipasi dalam Pembicaraan Politik (Studi Pada Mahasiswa FISIP UMM Angkatan 2019 Penonton Channel Youtube Deddy Corbuzier bulan Desember 2022)

The unstoppable development of the current era is marked by the widespread use of the internet. The presence of the internet seemingly facilitates various needs of students, ranging from seeking information, finding inspiration, engaging in interactions, to entertainment. The high usage of the internet by students, which is a digital medium, undoubtedly has effects on influencing students' responses to phenomena present on social networks. The S-O-R (Stimulus-Organism-Response) theory is considered a relevant guideline for understanding how the use of digital media such as podcasts influences students in receiving a message or information. Digital media enables access to extensive, rapid, and up-to-date information. Podcasts, as digital media content, are increasingly popular in Indonesia due to their flexibility in discussion and accessibility. Deddy Corbuzier, a prominent podcast content creator in Indonesia, has successfully garnered attention by addressing current issues. Podcasts serve not only as entertainment but also as a source of information and insight, especially in the field of politics. This research aims to determine the extent and direction of the influence of podcast viewing interactions on YouTube media on participation in political discourse. The design of this research is quantitative with total sampling technique. The number of subjects in this study is 31 respondents, distributed using a questionnaire through Google Form. After obtaining the data, it was analyzed using validity tests, reliability tests, tests of normality and linearity assumptions, as well as simple regression tests with the assistance of SPSS version 22. The results of this research indicate that there is an influence of Deddy Corbuzier's podcast viewing interactions on the level of participation in political discourse by 0.072. The results of this research state that the influence of Deddy Corbuzier's podcast viewing interactions has a positive influence on the level of participation in political discourse by 0.219.
