PESAN SARKASME PADA LAGU GENRE METAL (Analisis Wacana Kritis Teun Van Dijk pada Lagu "Omong Kosong" dalam Album Seperti Api Karya Band Seringai)

Within the community and within the government regarding his words not being in accordance with his actions which are detrimental to society. This attitude of society is indirectly represented by the work of the Band Seringai in their song entitled "Omong Kosong". The song tells about the system of political officials in carrying out campaigns, unscrupulous officials who feel they are innocent of committing criminal acts of corruption, victims blaming victims of sexual harassment, and people who make resolutions at the beginning of the year that don't work out. Arian Arifin Wardiman as the creator of the song Omong Kosong created the song based on events he saw, heard, experienced and felt which were motivated by knowledge of the assessment of these events. The birth of these lyrics is closely related to the public's expression of disappointment regarding individuals who make society uneasy due to injustice towards applicable norms. The aim of this research is to find out the message of sarcasm contained in the lyrics of the song "Omong Kosong" in the album Seperti Api by the Band Seringai.

The paradigm used in this research uses a critical paradigm. This research uses a qualitative approach. And this research also uses an interpretive type. The object studied in this research is the song "Omong Kosong" in the Album Seperti Api by the Band Seringai. Data collected in this research used observation techniques, literature studies and interviews. Researchers in this study used Teun Van Dijk's Critical Discourse Analysis model which assumes that research on discourse is more than just text analysis. Teun Van Dijk's discourse analysis model is presented based on three structural dimensions, including; text structure, social cognition, and social analysis. The research results show that the composer of the song Omong Kosong, Arian Arifin, created the song based on a portrait of events that we see every day in the mass media. The satirical message that is attempted to be displayed in the song Omong Kosong is about the public's attitude of disappointment or distrust towards news in the mass media regarding the campaign system of politicians, the anti-corruption image of officials accused of corruption cases, victim blaming towards victims of sexual harassment, and boasting of resolutions at the beginning of the year. that we often encounter in our environment. This song also uses a sarcastic accent or parody to reinforce the satirical message contained in the song Omong Kosong by the Band Seringai.
