Based on observations and interviews with class teachers on October 27, 2022, it was obtained the results of an analysis of the needs of class II students at SDN Mojorejo 1 Batu, that supporting teaching materials were needed in the learning process by associating the material with the local wisdom of their environment. This aims to make students better understand, recognize, and increase knowledge about the local wisdom where they live. In addition, the use of electronic books also makes it easier for students to access and learn wherever they are. With this in mind, it is necessary to develop teaching materials in the form of e-books of mathematics, measurement materials based on local wisdom that suit the needs of students and teachers during the learning process.
The purpose of this study is to develop teaching materials in the form of e-books based on the local wisdom of Batu City using the ADDIE model which has 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis are data analysis techniques used during research with the aim of knowing how to develop e-books based on local wisdom in Batu City in grade II elementary schools.
The development of material (mathematical measurement material) e-books based on local wisdom results from material validation of 92% included in very good criteria and teaching material validation of 94% included in very good criteria. The results of the teacher’s response regarding the product being developed obtained a percentage of 100% with very good criteria, as well as an average percentage of 100% obtained from the results of student responses which were included in very good criteria. The author advises students to use science and technology to add insight, to teachers to use science and technology to introduce their local wisdom, and to future researchers to be able to develop teaching materials based on local wisdom found in each region.
