Abstract

At the BKKBN office branch in East Java, several meeting rooms are provided for employees to use. The meeting rooms can be booked through WhatsApp chat with the head of the general section and manually scheduled on a scheduling board. This leads to a mix of WhatsApp chats, lengthy scheduling processes, and limited accessibility to the scheduling board for some sub-sections. This research aims to determine and meet the functional needs required to build a meeting room booking system for BKKBN East Java to address these issues. The Knowledge Acquisition in Automated Specification (KAOS) method is used in this research. In its implementation, the system's goals and expectations from the perspectives of 5 stakeholders are decomposed using the Goal Tree Model (GTM) diagram until hard goals or functional requirements, agents, and obstacles are obtained. The decomposition results are then validated and verified using prototyping techniques and inspection to determine if the system requirements can already meet and align with the stakeholders' needs
